Obagi Sun Shield SPF 50 is a fragrance-free, matte, broad-spectrum sunscreen for all skin types. Broad-spectrum means that it works against both UVA and UVB rays, in comparison to a conventional sunscreen that doesn't protect from UVA rays. Matte means that it does not make your skin glossy, shiny, or glowing.
SPF 50 stands for sun protection factor it measures the deflection of UVB rays. PA+++ measures the deflection of UVA rays on a scale of one, two, or three pluses, where PA+++ is the most effective.
UVA rays penetrate deeply into your skin, harm your immune system, damage your collagen fibers, and cause skin aging. UVB rays burn your skin on the surface. Both UVA and UVB cause skin cancer and hyperpigmentation.
An Australian study of sunscreen effectiveness recently proved that regular sunscreen use diminishes photodamage the wrinkles, age spots and elasticity loss; which occur due to the sun. On June 4, 2013, CNN published an articlethat summarizes the study and provides fascinating pictures of the difference between protected and unprotected skin. One of the pictures,published in Guardian, is of a truck driver whose left side of the face was exposed to sunlight through the windowpane of his truck. For 28 years of work, his exposed side of the face is significantly more wrinkled than his unexposed right side.

Obagi Sun Shield SPF 50 is a fragrance-free, matte, broad-spectrum sunscreen for all skin types. Broad-spectrum means that it works against both UVA and UVB rays, in comparison to a conventional sunscreen that doesn't protect from UVA rays. Matte means that it does not make your skin glossy, shiny, or glowing.
SPF 50 stands for sun protection factor it measures the deflection of UVB rays. PA+++ measures the deflection of UVA rays on a scale of one, two, or three pluses, where PA+++ is the most effective.
UVA rays penetrate deeply into your skin, harm your immune system, damage your collagen fibers, and cause skin aging. UVB rays burn your skin on the surface. Both UVA and UVB cause skin cancer and hyperpigmentation.
